Child Pushed from Tate Modern Now Able to Jump, Swim and Run

Parents of a young boy who sustained severe harm after getting pushed from the top floor of London's art gallery have stated their "courageous fighter" has achieved his goal of succeeding to swim, run, and jump again.

The French child was six when he was thrown from a railing by a youth, then 17.

He, who was traveling with his parents in August 2019 when attacked, lived through a 100ft drop but suffered significant wounds, such as a bleed on the brain and fractures.

His family shared in an update on a donation site, they were pleased that he had been able to progress with his jumping, swimming and running before his upcoming operation.

"He doesn't do it similar to kids of his age, naturally, but we cannot describe his actions in different terms than by saying it's swimming, running, and jumping."

"It's distinct, just for a short distance or a very small height, but it's an incredible achievement."

He, who spent many months in intensive care, has persisted to build brain resilience.

Parents stated although his memory skills were still quite restricted, they were effective and progressing, so he was "acquiring a basic understanding at his speed, which progressively allows him to be integrated with other children."

'Goal Achieved'

The family continued: "Additionally, he is maturing, and due to his sessions with the movement specialist, he presently allows himself to unwind."

"Earlier, to counteract his disability on the left part, he held his right-hand side continuously stiff, which gave him discomfort."

"Currently, our growing child (we must face the facts, he's grown up any longer) has understood that he needs to take breaks; we need to remind him less."

Additionally, he has achieved a long-term aim with dad: "Since we live a short distance from the beach, they had set their final goal of taking a outdoor meal at the seaside and then returning."

"Subsequent to multiple gradual preparation efforts, they eventually completed their two-and-a-half-hour trip. They arrived home exhausted but thrilled. Mission accomplished."

After a legal proceeding at the central criminal court, the teenager was convicted of attempted murder and was jailed in 2020 for no less than 15 years.
